On these Sundays of Easter, our Easter celebration continues as we reflect on the presence of the risen Christ among us. The Easter season invites us to enter more deeply into the meaning of the Paschal Mystery which we celebrate at every Eucharist (Mass.).
It is appropriate once again to say, Happy Easter! For some, Easter is one day; not for the Church. For the next seven weeks, we are celebrating Easter. In our Scripture readings for the next seven weeks, we will see the unfolding of the message that Jesus is alive and how the Apostles and the early Church came to understand and believe in the power of Resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
HAPPY EASTER! ALLELUIA!! This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! Yes, this is truly a glorious day…We celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus the Christ, not for one day, but for fifty (50) days. Easter is the center of our faith.
We enter the most solemn of all weeks today, the beginning of Holy Week, with Passion (Palm Sunday). Today’s Gospel is the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ according to Matthew.
