Today, the Christmas/ Epiphany season concludes with the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Saint Luke has already told us how the angels, the shepherds, and the magi have attested to the holiness of the Christ child. Today we hear God call out from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son,; with you I am well pleased.” By our baptism, we too, are God’s beloved children. During this week, I encourage you to reflect on your own baptism, and of the saving grace of God in His Son, Jesus the Christ.
The second collection next weekend, January 19-20 will be for the Church roof. I ask for your continued generosity.
All married couples, especially the younger married couples, of our parish are invited to attend an afternoon of reflection on Saturday, January 26 th from 1:00 P.M. -4:00 P.M. by Deacon Richard and Diane Abbondante. The theme of the reflection will be Living a Sacramental Lifestyle in a Secular World. The presentation will be held in the Lacour Center.
