It was good seeing so many parishioners at Mass this past weekend. Hopefully, as times goes by, more people will feel safe to return to Church for Mass. Until then, remember, that Archbishop Aymond has dispensed Catholics from attending Mass as long as we are in a pandemic.
It is important for the safety of all that we adhere to the social distancing guidelines that have been given to us. When coming to Mass, please do not sit in a pew that has a sign on it. Please wear a mask while you are in Church, removing it only to receive Holy Communion.
For those receiving Communion this past weekend, I commend you on practicing “social distancing” when coming up in the Communion line.
Let us also continue to pray for the safety of all who are on the front lines: the nurses, doctors, other medical personnel, first responders, custodians and housekeepers in hospitals and other medical facilities that keep the buildings clean and disinfected.
Our end of the school year looks quite different from previous years. Let us pray that we all may have a peaceful summer. I know that it will be a challenge because so many activities have been canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Vacation Bible School normally held in the first week of June has been canceled this year because of the pandemic.
This weekend’s second collection for the Church roof. The balance of the roof loan is $12,050.00 Since the baskets are not being passed, please place your contributions for the Church roof in the smaller baskets next to the larger ones at each entrance of the church. A sign will be designated for the church roof.
