Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! The Lord is Risen! Yes, Happy Easter to all! We are truly able to celebrate as a faith community the belief that Jesus rose triumphantly from the grave. Last year, celebrations of Easter were at a bare minimum. With the world-wide pandemic, church services were limited to “livestream.” Today, we are able to gather in our church building to celebrate the mystery of our faith: Christ has died! Christ is Risen! Christ will come again!
As we celebrate Easter with our family and friends let us praise God for the promise of eternal life—let us sing out in joy, for our Lord is risen!
At the Easter Vigil we welcomed three new members into the Roman Catholic Faith. Kayli Songy Mauduit and Breanna Songy Richard were fully initiated into the Catholic Faith. They received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Emily Vicknair Duhé was received into full communion of the Catholic Church. She professed her faith in the Church and received the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. Congratulations to all of them! I pray that your faith continues to grow each day.
Wednesday, April 7 is our monthly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration begins at 1:00 P.M. and concludes with Benediction at 6:00 P.M. During this year of the Eucharist and St. Joseph, I encourage all parishioners to come and spend some time in prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
The second collection next weekend is for the Building Maintenance Fund.
