5th Sunday of Ordinary Time - World Marriage Day

Dear Parishioners;

Today is WORLD MARRIAGE DAY. It is associated with the World-wide Marriage Encounter and the Catholic Marriage Encounter movement. World Marriage Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in February. The purpose of World Marriage Day is to honor husband and wife as the foundation of the family— the basic unity of society. It celebrates the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily married life.

The second collection today is for the Building Maintenance Fund. I ask for your continued support of this collection.

Next weekend, February 16-17, 2019, the second collection will be taken up in all parishes for Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. Donations through the second collection provide life-giving services such as food deliveries for the elderly, care for the physically and developmentally disabled, support and care for new and expecting mothers, and so much more.

First Eucharist Parent Seminar will be on Monday, February 18 th . At least one parent/guardian of students preparing to receive First Communion this year are expected to attend. The meeting will last no longer than one (1) hour.
