5th Sunday of Lent

Dear Parishioners,

Jesus reveals the heart of the Father, who is love. Although we turn away from Him, God does not choose to condemn or turn away from us. As we enter the Fifth week of Lent, today’s Gospel continues to offer lessons about God’s mercy and forgiveness. Last Sunday we heard the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Today the scribes and Pharisees test Jesus by bringing a woman who had been caught in adultery. Jesus tells them that the one without sin can cast the first stone.

The second collection this weekend will be for the Building Maintenance Fund.

Our monthly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be on Wednesday, April 6th . Adoration begins at 1:00 P.M. and concludes with Benediction at 6:00 P.M.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held in every Catholic church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans on Wednesday, April 6th from 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M.

The second collection next weekend, April 9th and 10th will be for the Easter flowers.
