Dear Parishioners;
As Lent progresses, we come closer to the heart and meaning of the Gospel message: that Jesus must suffer and die for new life to happen. Jesus embraced what is painful and frightening to achieve life on our behalf. The new light of the Resurrection will shine its hope upon us all.
Thank you for your support of The Catholic Relief Services Collection and for helping
Jesus in disguise. Your contributions will make a difference for the poor and marginalized around the world.
The
second collection this weekend is for the
Church roof. Your generosity is appreciated.
Once again, Confessions will be heard on
Wednesday, March 21st from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Next weekend, March 24
th and 25
th, the second collection will be for the Easter flowers decorations.
The Paschal (Easter) Triduum is approaching. These solemn liturgies are the highlight of our Catholic Christian faith. The Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be on Holy Thursday, March 29
th at 7:00 P.M. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be until 11:00 P.M. On Good Friday, we commemorate the Lord’s Passion. The Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion will be at 3:00 P.M. The Easter Vigil will begin on Saturday, March 31 at 8:00 P.M. The Easter Vigil Liturgy begins outside with the blessing of the fire and the lighting of the Paschal (Easter) candle. The renewal of our baptismal promises will take place on this night as well as on Easter Sunday morning Masses.
I invite all parishioners and friends to make concerted effort to attend the Liturgies of the Sacred Triduum.
Have a Blessed Week.
