As we celebrate the Third Week of Easter, we are reminded that Easter is not one day, but we celebrate the Easter Season for fifty (50) days. This week in the Gospel, we see Jesus appearing to the disciples on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias. For those who enjoy fishing, the Sea of Tiberias is a fresh-water lake where Jesus shared a meal with a group of disciples.
Today at the 11:00 A.M. Mass twelve (12) second graders from St. Peter School and the Parish School of Religion will celebrate their FIRST COMMUNION. Congratulations to the students, parents, and the teachers who prepared them for this special day.
The second collection this weekend is for the Building Maintenance Fund. I ask for your continued support of this collection.
Next weekend we celebrate MOTHER’S DAY. A very special day for all of us as we honor our mother’s. Let us thank God for the blessings of our mothers.
Also next weekend will be the annual collection for the Priests’ Retirement Fund. This collection is used to support the medical and retirement expenses of our retired priests.
Please mark your calendars for our Rosary Procession on Sunday, May 26 th , following the 8:00 A.M. Mass. For those wishing to participate and unable to walk in the procession, the Rosary will be prayed in church.
