Dear Parishioners;
Life is best described as a journey with a beginning and an end. As we come to the end of another Church year, we are invited to reflect on what is often referred to as the last things – judgment, heaven and hell; but we do so not in fear but in hope, for while our earthly lives will end, the promise of life eternal shines forth in Christ.
This weekend’s second collection is for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. In the United States, one in six people live in poverty. With this collection, you support programs that address the cause of poverty and provide sustainable future for those who are struggling across the country. In addition, twenty-five percent of funds collected remains in our archdiocese to fund local anti-poverty projects. Pleas prayerfully consider how you can support this collection.
Can you believe it THANKSGIVING DAY is here! The Mass for Thanksgiving Day will be at 8:00 A.M. There will be no 6:30 A.M. Mass on Thanksgiving Day. It is a time for us, to gather and thank God for the blessings He has bestowed on us individually and as a community. No matter what’s our situation in life, God continues to bless each one of us. I hope to see you at the Mass on Thanksgiving Day.
The second collection next weekend, November 25th & 26th will be for the church roof. I ask for your continued generosity in the church roof collection.
Have a Blessed Week and HAPPY THANKSIGIVING!!
