Dear Parishioners;
We have returned to Ordinary Time in the Church calendar. In about a month we will begin the season of Lent on Ash Wednesday, which is on February 14th this year.
Today’s readings concern the call of the disciples to follow Jesus. In the Gospel, John the Baptist suggest to his disciples that they too, go with Jesus. After spending time with Jesus they realize what John the Baptist meant when he said, “Behold the Lamb of God.”
Here is a little bit of history for you: Fifty (50) years ago today, the present St. Peter Church was formally dedicated by Archbishop Philip M. Hannan.
