29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

Today is WORLD MISSION SUNDAY, celebrated by Catholics throughout the world. We celebrate this day by remembering our baptismal call to bring the Gospel to all! The second collection today for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith supports the work and witness of the Mission Church, as it provides for priests, religious sisters and brothers, and lay leaders who offer the Lord’s mercy and concrete help to the most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions.

The second collection this weekend is for World Mission Sunday.

The Msgr. Eyraud Knights of Columbus Council 2436 will have a special BBQ Lunch on Sunday, October 29th . The cost for this meal will be $15.00. In order to guarantee your meal, please pre-order your meal. Please see the bulletin for further information.

Before you know it, the Feast of ALL SAINTS will be upon us. The Vigil Mass will be on October 31 st at 5:00 P.M. Mass on All Saints Day, November 1 st will be at 6:30 A.M. Mass, 10:00 A.M. Mass, followed by the Blessing of the Cemetery. Chicken and andouille gumbo will be served in the Msgr. Eyraud K.C. Home, beginning at 11:00 A.M. The final Mass of the day will be at 6:00 P.M.

Confirmation practice will be on Monday, October 30th at 6:00 P.M. It is important that all candidates as well as sponsors attend the practice.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated here at St. Peter on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. with Archbishop Hughes. Please keep all of the Confirmation candidates in your prayer.
