18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

One of the most challenging points of conversion for those seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord has to do with how we handle material wealth. Today’s Gospel could not be clearer. Jesus points out that the rich man in today’s Gospel is a fool for thinking he can control the rest of his life through wealth.

The Special Second Collection this weekend is for the new air conditioning unit installed in St. Mary’s Chapel (choir/organ side).

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place on Wednesday, August 3 rd . Adoration begins at 1:00 P.M. and concludes with Benediction at 6:00 P.M.

This is the final week of vacation for most schools. St. Peter School will open its doors to begin its 93rd year on Tuesday, August 9 th for grades 1-7. Parents, please check the school’s website for additional information for the start date for Pre K-2 through kindergarten. If you are still looking for a school for your child to attend, St. Peter is the place to be.

The second collection next weekend, August 6 th and 7th will be for the Building Maintenance Fund.
