Happy Father’s Day! I would like to take this opportunity to wish all fathers and father figures a very blessed Father’s Day. This year’s gathering of family may be a little different because of COVID-19; but be assured of God’s continued blessings upon you as we, your sons and daughters honor you.
Because of the health concerns of all, it was decided that the youth group will not have their annual bake sale. They are planning to have one bake sale sometime in the fall.
Today the liturgical calendar returns to Ordinary Time for Sundays. We have been in Ordinary Time for the weekdays since June 1. Throughout this season we are reminded of our call to discipleship and the cost of that call. Self-sacrifice and proclamation of the Good News are the crux of the message. It is a time to renew our formation and commitment to the Christian life. As followers of Jesus today, we are called to spread the good news and care for those in need.
The second collection next weekend, June 27- 28 will be for the Church Roof. We are very close to paying the Roof loan off. The remaining balance is $9,517.00. Thank you for your continued support.
