Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception -- Because Sundays of Advent supersede Solemnities, Sunday, December 8, 2019, will be the Second Sunday of Advent. The solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, patronal feast of the United States, will be transferred to the following Monday, December 9, 2019. The obligation to attend Mass, however, does not transfer.
