Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ,
Corpus Christi. In today’s Gospel, we hear Jesus tell us,
“This is my body…This is my blood.” There are many reasons people give for no longer going to church. There is one great reason to attend. It is here as a community of believers we receive the most precious and sacred gifts from our God this side of heaven. It is here we receive the most sacred gift of Jesus in the Eucharist.
