Over the past few weeks we have heard Jesus teach his disciples and us how to see the world through God’s eyes. Today in the Gospel, Jesus tells us to remove the wooden beam from our judging eyes. This is a challenge for us. We are quick to point out someone else’s fault, but we fail to see our own faults. Repeatedly in the Gospel, Jesus has taught and shown us the Father’s mercy…to the sinner…to the enemy...to the needy. Jesus calls us to do the same.

Wednesday, March 6 th begins the Lenten season with Ash Wednesday—a day of fast and abstinence. Masses with the Distribution of Ashes will be at 6:30 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. A Liturgy of the Word Prayer Service with the Distribution of Ashes will be at 12:10 P.M.
As we begin the season of Lent, what a better way to begin, than with spending time with the Lord in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Our monthly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be on Ash Wednesday, March 6 th . Adoration begins at 1:00 P.M. and concludes with Benediction at 6:00 P.M.
