6th Sunday of Easter

Dear Parishioners,

We continue to celebrate the Easter season, reflecting on the Paschal Mystery unfolding before us. Jesus focuses our attention on love being at the heart of discipleship. In a unique way the risen Lord is with us here today as we gather in faith, in the ministers and in each other, in God’s word proclaimed, and in His Body and Blood we received. As disciples of Jesus, we grow closer to Jesus and His mission by sharing God’s love with others. As we go about our day/week, may we bring the risen Lord with us wherever we go and whatever we do—striving always to give witness to His love.

At 11:00 A.M. Mass today, First Communion will be celebrated. Please keep those receiving the Lord for the first time in Holy Communion in your prayers.

The Msgr. Eyraud Knights of Columbus Council 2436 will have its monthly dinner today. It is always delicious. Also, the Ladies Auxiliary will be selling delicious homemade desserts.

Next Sunday, May 12th is Mother’s Day. The youth of the parish will be having a Bake Sale. Please support them by purchasing something from the bake sale.
