6th Sunday of Easter

Dear Parishioners,

Today, we enter the sixth week of Easter. As we continue reading from the Gospel According to Saint John, we are brought back to the Last Supper. Jesus, knowing that His disciples will need encouragement for the events that lie ahead, grants them the gift of peace and the promise of the Spirit. We also need those gifts as we strive to live the Gospel life and be faithful to Christ.

Can you believe it, the end of the school year is in sight. St. Peter School will end this academic year on Friday, May 27th. Hopefully, when school begins in August, it will be a “normal” school year. For the last three years, school life has been anything but normal. Enjoy your summer.

Last summer the air conditioner in St. Mary’s chapel (choir side) went out. A new unit is needed. The price for the new air conditioner is $29472.00. A special second collection will be taken up to pay for the new unit. I will let you know in advance when the collections for the air conditioner will take place.
