6th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners,

We’ve had a very short Mardi Gras season this year. That meant we had less time to eat King Cakes. This is the last weekend before the big day on Tuesday. Let’s pray for everyone’s safety during the last few days of the Carnival season. For the rest of the nation, it will be a typical Monday and Tuesday, but for us it’s Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras. The church and cemetery offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, February 12 th & 13 th .

The second collection this weekend is for the Building Maintenance Fund.

Wednesday is Valentine’s Day, but also Ash Wednesday. If you are planning to go out to dinner, please remember that it is a day of fasting and abstinence (no meat). The Distribution of Ashes will take place at 6:30 A.M. Mass and 6:00 P.M. Mass. Also, there will be a 12:10 P.M. Liturgy of the Word Prayer Service with the Distribution of Ashes on Ash Wednesday.

Please refer to the Lenten schedule that was in the bulletin last weekend for the Lenten schedule.

The Stations of the Cross will be on Friday, February 16th at 6:00 P.M. Everyone is encouraged to pray the Stations with the community.

The Msgr. Eyraud Knights of Columbus Council 2436 monthly dinner will be on Sunday, February 18 th . Please pre-order your meal to guarantee that one will be there for you.
