HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all our Moms. May your special day be filled with God’s blessings, as we, your sons and daughters, honor you on this day. There will be a special blessings for Mothers during Mass this weekend. I will remember all mothers, living and deceased, at Mass this weekend.
Treat Mom to some dessert, baked by the youth of the parish. The annual Mother’s Day Bake Sale is happening before and after all Masses this weekend. Please support the youth in this endeavor and treat Mom to some home baked goodies.
The Ladies Altar Society will be selling Carnations this weekend in honor of Mother’s Day.
Today is the Fourth Sunday of Easter, traditionally called Good Shepherd Sunday because the Gospel is about Jesus, the Good Shepherd. The second collection this weekend is for the Diocesan Priests’ Retirement Fund. The money collected is used to support the medical and retirement expenses of the retired priests of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Congratulations to all parishioners who will be graduating from high school and college. As you enter your next phase of life, remember that God is always part of your journey and will help you in your chosen path of life.
St. Peter School Kindergarten Graduation will be on Thursday, May 16 th at 9:00 A.M. in church. The Seventh Graders from St. Peter School will have their closing ceremony on Thursday, May 16 th at 6:30 P.M.
Remember the Rosary Procession will be on Sunday, May 25 th immediately following the 8:00 A.M. Mass. For those unable to participate in the procession, the Rosary will be prayed in church. All parishioners are invited and encouraged to participate as we honor the Blessed Mother.
