Life is described as a journey with an ultimate destination. As we near the end of the liturgical year, we are invited to reflect on the last things—death, judgment, heaven, and hell. We do so not in fear, but in hope, for while this earthly life might end, the promise of life eternal shines brightly in Christ.
The second collection this weekend is for the Msgr. Eyraud Educational Fund. I ask for your continued support of this collection.
The Second Collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development will be held next weekend, November 19-20, 2022. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) operates with the belief that those most impacted by unjust structures have the best insight in how to overcome them by breaking the cycle of poverty. Currently, the Archdiocese of New Orleans has two groups receiving funding: one which focuses on housing, and the other focuses on energy resiliency. The motto for Catholic Campaign for Human Development is “a hand up, not a hand out.”
Thanksgiving Day is around the corner, to be exact, it’s November 24th. Mass on Thanksgiving Day will be at 8:00 A.M. Please join me in giving thanks to God for the Blessings that we have received this past year.
