17th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners;

“All Churches, both young and old, are called to give and to receive in the context of the universal mission, and none should be closed to the needs of others,” (John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio). All church parishes in the Archdiocese of New Orleans participates in the Missionary Cooperative Plan which is three-fold: 1) to educate the people of the Archdiocese regarding the missionary work of Christ, 2) to solicit prayers and financial support for the missionaries and 3) to harmonize missionary efforts and guarantee a fair distribution of aid.

We welcome this weekend a representative from the Diocese of Yendi, Ghana. He will speak to us of the needs for the diocese.

The second collection this weekend will be for the Diocese of Yendi, Ghana.

CCD registration for the elementary grades (1- 8) will be on Saturday, August 3 from 9:00 A.M.-10:00 A.M. in the Lacour Center. High school students will be on a later date. Please watch the bulletins for further information.

The second collection next weekend will be for the Building Maintenance Fund.
