Masses
St. Peter Catholic Community demonstrates the Good News of Jesus Christ through the use of our time, talents, and treasure.
The Parish Office Summer Hours have started & are from Mon - Thu, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (closed Fridays)
Thank you to all who already signed up for Moving Mary. What an easy and beautiful way to support our parish in prayer! Moving Mary is a new ministry that is being developed here in St. Peter Parish. Each Mass time will have its own Mary statue to move around from home to home each week. A volunteer will take a Mary statue home at the end of each Mass and be dedicated to praying a Rosary each day for St. Peter Parish as well as your own family intentions. After the week, simply return the statue of Mary to church, so that the next person on the list can bring the statue home and pray the Rosary. For further information on Moving Mary prayer ministry, please call Paula Maurin at 985-817-9496 or maurinpaula@gmail.com
The novena in honor of the Holy Ghost is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the directions of Our Lord Himself when He sent His Apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Ghost on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian. Though this novena can be prayed any time of year, it is traditionally prayed from the Friday after Ascension Thursday (when the Ascension is not transferred to the following Sunday) until the Saturday before Pentecost. Here is the link to the prayers used for the novena.
